GREETINGS
I hope that you find the information on this website easy to follow and a good introduction to the life of St. John’s church. We are part of the Church in Wales which itself is part of the worldwide Anglican Church and our worship and practices reflect this. Our Sunday and weekday services centre around preaching and teaching from the bible and the celebration of the eucharist [holy communion].
We are a praying community – morning prayer is offered Mon to Fri at 9am and compline Sat at 6.30pm. People can come during the day and enjoy the quiet and light a candle [call at the parish office first].
We are a worshipping community – a variety of styles, some modern, some traditional, keep our worship fresh and relevant. We have an active and enthusiastic choir and a love of good music and singing.
We are a witnessing community - active in supporting Plant Dewi [our diocesan children’s charity] and other concerns. We openly work with others in sharing the good news of God’s love for this world that is to be found in the person of Jesus Christ.
We are a serving community – believing that our church is the servant of the wider community and has an important role to play within the town.
